September 18, 2002 -- I suppose we could have updated this site a little earlier. The word on the street is that we're taking a little break from performing. Stuart and Micheal are writing new songs, Shane is working in so-cal and Marco is doing a little travelling... We didn't mean to alarm you folks... July 4, 2002 -- There was a little rumble in the east village during Lister's first performances in New York City. Lister made new fans at performances at the Mercury Lounge and the Continental. Come check out Lister's next date at the Acme Underground on Monday July 22nd at 10 pm.
June 5, 2002 -- Lister would like to thank to all who came out to the homecoming show at Zaphod's on May 25th. There were many familiar faces and a few new ones thanks in large part to the press blitz organized by Janie Rocks Productions. Lister has now added many new shows to the schedule for late June. Show stops include New York, Toronto, and yes... Ottawa. Look for a Montreal date to be added soon. Check out the Live page for more details.
May 10, 2002 -- Lister finds themselves back in Canada after another epic drive that started in LA on a Thursday night and ended on a Sunday afternoon.... Lotsa fun. On the horizon: Back in the studio and show announcements in Ottawa, Toronto, Montreal, and New York. We'll keep you posted.
April 21, 2002 -- It's official! Lister will play Saturday May 25th at Zaphod Beeblebrox in Ottawa. It's been almost 9 months since Lister has performed in their hometown.... enough said.
April 18th, 2002 -- Lister played to a packed house at the Irish Times for their last of the "Acoustic Wednesday" performances. We'll get some pictures from those shows on the website soon enough. Thanks to all who showed up and even participated on a regular basis.

February 18th, 2002 -- After performing a couple of acoustic shows at the Irish Times Pub over the last month, Lister will start making it a regular occurance on Wednesday nights. Lister will start playing at 9pm and it's always free! The Irish Times is located at 3267 Motor Ave. (at National Blvd.)
February 9th, 2002 -- A week after celebrating Mikes birthday 25 by L.A. reckoning Lister finds itself gearing up for some new shows. Weve been missing a weekly hangout since we left Sundays at Zaphods and so have migrated to our local watering hole, the Irish Times, where we will be performing acoustically Wednesday nights. This gives a chance to work in our new bass player Shane Brouse! Straight outta Sudbury, Shane honed his bass playing skills in Ottawa stalwarts, Shunt. Lister pulls into in L.A.
August 5th, 2001 -- Drive through the Mojave desert in 115 degree temperatures; arrive in LA at @ 11pm PST, 63 hours after departing Ottawa.
August 3rd, 2001 -- Leave Ottawa at 9am. Astro van is pulling a trailor full of musical gear, computer equipment and some suitcases.
June 21th, 2001 -- Lister's just waiting on a visa to head down to L.A. to perform its first of two shows at the Joint (8771 W. Pico Blvd - Wednesday August 8, 2001 at 9 pm). Departure date is set for late July. Stay tuned kids...
June 20th, 2001 -- Two shows means two chances to see Lister perform on Sunday July 1st (Canada Day). Check out our Live page for all the dates.
June 18th, 2001 -- The regulars at our former Ottawa house gig have been asking when we would record the songs they heard develop every week.... well, that'll be Canada Day Weekend (July 29 and 30). Lister heads back in the studio to record 3 or 4 new songs.
May 14th, 2001 -- Lister will be performing the last of the Sunday night shows. No opener is scheduled as Lister will play 2 sets starting at 9 pm. Come check it out!
March 18th, 2001 -- Lister will be performing at Canadian Music Week on Thursday March 29th at C'est What. The set starts at midinight.
February 8th, 2001 -- Lister will be performing at least 8 shows in the next 4 weeks in Toronto, Montreal, and of course Ottawa. Check out our Live page for all the dates.
January 7th, 2001 -- Lister and company had a good night on the first of Ottawa's new music nights at Zaphod Beeblebrox. The media attention has been spectacular and response from local bands has been very positive. Special thanks to Nectar for coming out and helping us on the first of many Sundays.
December 19th, 2000 -- Stephen Clarke is the newest Lister member. His bad-ass-bass playing can be heard for the first time with Lister on New Year's Eve at Zaphod Beeblebrox in Ottawa.
November 21st, 2000 -- The song "So Real" featured on the indieblast cd, is included on the Clearnet CD "A Little Bit Of Canada". The compilation was completed and shipped to CDPlus.com for distribution to CDPlus.com locations across Canada last week. The Compilation is only available through the Clearnet PERKS Program.
November 1st, 2000 -- Lister will be performing at 2 indieblast shows (Sudbury and Ottawa). Indieblast is a national compilation cd that feature independent canadian bands. See Lister Live to get the dates
September 18st, 2000 -- Lister returns to play...
September 9th, 2000 -- A great turnout which included Canadian rock band "Sloan" had a blast at Lister's cd release party at Zaphod Beeblebrox II in Ottawa. When asked about the show, Lister's web consultant Chris Fournier was quoted as saying "I finished all the bar's rye" was not seen until 3 days later.
September 1st, 2000 -- It was Lister's first show in Los Angeles and surely not the last...
August 16, 2000 -- Lister's drummer and all around cool guy, updates the site with a new look. Thanks to Chris Fournier all his help. Some sections aren't complete yet, so visit us again soon. If you have any pictures of the band that you think should be on the site, email us and we'll put it on.
July 25, 2000 -- Lister has confirmed the date of their first full-length CD "Half-Built Set". The release party is set for September 9, 2000 at Zaphod Beeblebrox 2 in Ottawa. The show starts with two openers I Refuse (9:15) and Palomar (10:15). The CD will be distrubuted across Canada and on the web with CDPlus.com .
July 17, 2000 -- Local popsters Lister are on Molson's Indieblast CD sampler which can be found in cases of Molson Canadian. The 6 song CD contains bands that are on RCD Music's Indieblast 2000 Compilation. Lister's song So Real is Track #2.
