Lister
Biography
Big Melodies, Big Beats, Big
Heart
Bob Dylan meets the Beach Boys
Brothers Stuart and Michael
Lister along with drummer Marco Rayes have been navigating the
inner landscapes of peace, faith, love, sex and redemption.
Formed in their hometown of Ottawa, Canada, Listers brand
of pop rock marries vulnerable lyrical introspection, melodic
explosive hooks and groove based back beats.
Listers first full-length CD entitled Half-Built
Set, was recorded and released in Ottawa and mixed at
Metalworks in Toronto by Ed Krautner (Tea Party, Tonic). The disk
includes So Real which received national radio airplay and
featured Half As Good which appeared on the WB Television
Networks Dawsons Creek and Party
of Five television series.
So Real was included on RCD Music & Bhurr Records' IndieBlast
compilation, Molson Canadians Indieblast
Sampler, and Clearnets A Little Bit of
Canada. All compilations were released nationally.
The summer of 2001 hailed Listers permanent move to Los
Angeles club-land where they have claimed The Gig as
their home away from home, and continue to maintain a busy
performance schedule.
